DOGS STAY ON LEASH - I REMOVE IT (AND YOU) IN EDITING
SOME A's TO YOUR Q's
Can I please get a pic of all my dogs together?
I can almost always get some great images of a group of just pets together, but I can't guarantee it. Some dogs apparently just want the spotlight all to themselves. However, having you or your family in the photo will make this much easier. :)
Can we do my dog and my friend's dogs at the same time?
Dogs that don't live together tend to go a little bonkers when they're in the same space and it DOES NOT make for a productive session. I require scheduling sessions separately so that we can focus on getting great images of each pet. Pets that live together on a daily basis are typically fine together though.
Do you do cats/birds/horses/snakes/hedgehogs too?
I do it all, friend! Besides dogs, most pets are best photographed at your home where they can be more comfortable and feel safe. If you know your pet will be ok at my studio (or outdoors for larger pets like horses), I'm cool with that too! Pricing is the same regardless of animal type.
What if I want pictures of my whole family with the dog?
Yes, please! Dogs ARE our family. Book a Full Session and you can bring everyone.
Our dog is too old/sick/disabled to leave the house. Help!
Honey, I do house calls too! If you have a pup that wouldn't do well outside of your home for whatever reason, I'll come to you and keep your baby as comfortable during the session as we can. (Within 15 miles of Tulsa is free - travel fees apply elsewhere.)
Do you do end-of-life sessions?
All the time. I honestly love doing these sessions because I get to record the raw love you have focused on your pet. That's what these sessions are about, right? If you have an emergency session request, please contact me directly instead of booking online. I may be able to get you in sooner than what is available via the online calendar. 918.402.9646
What should I bring to my session?
You don't HAVE to bring anything to your session other than a dog and a leash (please no choke collars or harnesses). If you WANT to bring anything else, you certainly can...favorite toys, food that makes them go crazy, clothes, props, things that represent you/your family/your business, etc. Bring it all! I will have treats on hand, but if your baby has a sensitive stomach, feel free to have your own handy.
What else should I know?
- If you're planning on grooming your dogs, please do so a couple of days before your session. Please don't take them to the groomers the same day I'm scheduled. They'll be irritated and harder to chill out.
- If your pups have any food allergies or aversions, please let me know when you book.
- If you can walk/exercise your dog before your shoot, it will be helpful. A tired dog is a good dog.
- Please don't feed your dog right before your session. I want them treat motivated!
- During your session, I will need your help holding a leash, but otherwise I'll need you to be mostly quiet and still. I need them to focus on ME while shooting. Please don't have anyone stand behind me to make noises.
- Unless we're taking photos of the whole family, the less small children around, the better. Dogs tend to feed off of kiddo energy, and even non-protective pups get more nervous when kiddos are around.
- Stay relaxed, even if you think your doggo is being super bad. I promise I'm getting some good shots regardless. Your dog can read your anxiety and will react to it. Chill, baby. :)
